Two mums, two dads or one of each
While travelling by tram recently I saw an ad for the Midsumma festival. Our girls were involved in performances in past years and they were always terrific and thought provoking stage events.
It made me also think of our Australian of the year David Morrison and his push for diversity.
So it seems just the right time to acknowledge the diverse families we have at Rogan Family Care.
We have a good many same sex families at present and we hope to welcome many more diverse families in future.
We acknowledge the GLBTI community and proudly look forward to supporting more of their families.
We acknowledge those families who are culturally different from ours and who make Australia a much better place.
We respect and embrace all people who love each other and love their children.
As per previous blogs, there is no right or wrong. It doesn’t matter whether there are two mums, two dads or one of each.
David Morrison rightly declared that the challenge for society now is to go beyond the rhetoric and ensure that no one parent, child or family is held back or lives a lesser life because of her/his diversity.
I hope in some small way that Rogan Family Care can contribute to that.
PS There are lots of Morrisons in the public eye at present and I am not related to any of them!
