The increased use of devices by children

The latest Australian Child Health Poll found that almost all teenagers, 2/3 of primary school students, and 1/3 of pre-schoolers own their own smartphone or tablet device.

Director of this poll, CR Anthea Rhodes, explains that this is likely a result of a more modernised busy lifestyle for parents, but that there are some side effects for children that parents should look out for. Primarily, it’s effect on sleep and activity.
