How (and why) to make a sensory bin

In our last blog post, we discussed how sensory play can help with your child’s development. A sensory bin is a great way to combine a number of sensations, shapes, textures and words in one learning tool, to develop fine motor skills, and vocabulary.

This is a great activity for parents, educators, nannies, and anyone working or playing with young children.

The Educator Spin On It has a great article outlining how you can put together your own sensory bin to match your child’s age and stage of development.
