The importance of literacy in children
The Guardian recently reported on the importance of literacy and education for all children.
The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation has identified quite a gap in literacy rates between indigenous and non-indigenous children. They explain that closing the gap is high priority as “the way forward.”
