More dads pushing for flexible hours at work
Men working part time is a fast growing labour sector, as dads push for more flexible work hours. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that the number of dads working flexible hours to care for small children has doubled in the last 20 years.
Interestingly, men have found that they feel judged by co-workers for working flexibly. Flexible hours do not mean less hours, and both parents sharing responsibilities is more common than in past generations.
