The Early Years Learning Framework

Before children begin formal schooling, they have already learned a great deal. So it is important to approach education attentively before they begin school, to prepare them for effective future learning.

The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) guides educators in developing quality education programs. The framework outlined on Care for Kids emphasises three basic concepts regarding a child’s learning; belonging, being, and becoming. It is also structured by three key elements; principles, practices and Learning outcomes.

The EYLF creates a guide for how to approach early childhood education, and prepare children with a strong foundation for formal schooling.
